Since 1984 the restoration workshop has been working on conservation and restoration of artworks and protected cultural heritage, respecting historical and aesthetic requirements, with the collaboration of scientists and art historians and under the control and supervision of Departments of Cultural Heritage for  national territory MIBAC.

We carry out restoration, conservation and recovery of paintings on textile, wooden  and wall suppports of different ages, as well as restoration of artworks, gravestone and archaeological artifacts. Among the works: various works from Museum Barberini in Rome, fresco by Giovanni Santi in the church of Saint  Dominic in Cagli, painting  by Martino Piazza "The Virgin and Child with Saints Elizabeth and John the Baptist," Raphael bronze monument in Urbino, Roman bronze plate from Oliveriano Archaeological Museum of Pesaro and several contemporary artworks by artists Enzo Cucchi and Umberto Mastroianni.
Michael Papi, owner of the workshop, has been from 2011 Ssessional  Professor of Restoration at Urbino University "Carlo Bo", DISBEF Department, School of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage – Master’s Degree.

The restoration workshop, using leading diagnostic and scientific tools and specific materials, is  based in Urbino, a Renaissance town of cultural and artistic great tradition. The expertise and experience together with the skills of staff members provide the customer  with a complete and professional service, whether for work on buildings and monuments in situ, and for restoration works in the workshop.
Our requirements allow us to participate in public tenders of OS2A II level (Decorated surfaces of real estate from cultural heritage and historical, artistic, archaeological and ethnic-anthropological goods).

Artistic objects

The workshop also creates pottery and stone handicraft in Renaissance style.
